Nutrition is the basic provision for maintaining a proper working body where each and every cell and tissues receives utmost energy. Many common health issues can be kept at bay with proper nutrition.
Poor diet can have dire consequences with diseases like scurvy, beriberi and kwashiorkor.

Basic nutrients are carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and water. Invariably deficiency of each of the elements can bring about some disease which can be life threatening. Carbohydrates are needed for day to survival of the pressures of like. They provide the necessary energy the body requires every day. Fat stored in the body breaks down for provide additional energy in times of starvation or malnutrition.

A malnourished person would generally wither out. They will not possess the basic nutrition for metabolic reactions in the body for survival. They will be lean with much disease in them. This will finally lead to their death. Nutrition is the fuel for human engine to keep running smoothly.
