Immune system-body’s defense mechanism
The history of evolution of man is believed to be as old as the universe itself. Over the period of time life and environment has changed, many animals and plants have become extinct. However, the homosapiens remained. The credit should be given to our immune system, which has developed and adapted itself to the changing environment. The immune system is like a data base it memorizes the behavior of every foreign element and creates antibodies to counter attack them.
The main agent of this immune system is the white blood cells which plays two roles. The former is to destroy the disease causing bacteria, and the latter is to memorize these bacteria, so that the body can successfully fight in the event of a second attack.
A good diet and a healthy life style devoid of any drugs or narcotic elements can go a long way in boosting the body’s immunity against many dreadful diseases.
