My son has top braces does he have to wear a special mouthguard for football?
This is his first year of wearing braces during football season. I saw that there is a shock doctor mouthguard designed for kids that wear braces. Is this a neccessity? what will happen if he wears a normal mouthguard?

No, just mold, which he has by placing them in boiling water, then to his mouth, most mouthgaurds have instructions on the back that , is what I have in the past year, and I had braces top and bottom, was a regular mouthgaurd and I was fine, I never had braces put on my lip or other thing. The Shock Doctor mouth guard would not only unessisary, but maybe a problem because it makes it difficult to look very thick,
