How did the “From a Florida ER Doctor” email make you feel?
I recently got an email I’ve posted here in its entirety:
Having spent three weeks in a hospital in Naples, Florida with my wife I couldn’t help noticing what was going on in the hospital and I had a lot of time to talk to the doctors and nurses about what I had observed. Below is a commentary from an ER Doctor. Do you think this might be a big reason our health care system and our social security system are so screwed up? Do you think this might be a big reason our taxes keep going up? Who do you think these people are going to vote for?
From a Florida ER doctor:
“I live and work in a state overrun with illegals. They make more money having kids than we earn working full-time. Today I had a 25-year old with 8 kids – that’s right 8; all illegal anchor babies and she had the nicest nails, cell phone, hand bag, clothing, etc. She makes about $ 1,500 monthly
for each; you do the math. I used to say, We are the dumbest nation on earth. Now I must say and sadly admit: WE are the dumbest people on earth (that includes ME) for we elected the idiot idealogues who have passed the bills that allow this. Sorry, but we need a revolution. Vote them all out in 2010. ”
— REMEMBER —
IN NOVEMBER 2010, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE!
This is an insult and a kick in the butt to all of us…
Get mad and pass it on – I don’;t know how, but maybe some good will come of this travesty.
If the immigrant is over 65, they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than a woman on Social Security, who worked from 1944 until 2004.
She is only getting $ 791 per month because she was born in 1924 and there’s a ‘catch 22.’
It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $ 1,890. Each can also obtain an additional $ 580 in social assistance, for a total of $ 2,470 a month.
This compares to a single pensioner, who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years, can only receive a monthly maximum of $ 1,012 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
Consider sending this to all your American friends, so we can all be ticked off and maybe get the refugees cut back to $ 1,012 and the pensioners up to $ 2,470. Then we can enjoy some of the money we were forced to submit to the Government over the last 40 or 50 or 60 years. And not to receive a increase for 2010 Vote them all out of office!!!
Please forward this to every American to expose what our elected politicians have been doing for the past 11 years to over-taxed Americans.
SEND THIS TO EVERY AMERICAN TAXPAYER YOU KNOW

I recently moved back to FL, after starting my adult life. I can not believe that changes in the area I grew up. Chronic unemployment in a very affluent retirement community. The contrasts are absurd. For employment in many jobs, it is necessary that you be bilingual. With illegal sucking our social services and Spanish-speaking Americans are decent

It made me feel like the person who wrote it is lying. He says that a woman was born in 1924 and retired in 2004. So according to him she worked until she was 80 years old?
The email is meaningless without reliable sources to back up what is claimed and there are none. I could make up scenarios and figures to prove anything I wanted to.
Who are the refugees he is talking about? If they exist is he lumping them in with illegal aliens and making up figures for imaginary assistance they are all receiving. People just make up things to further their agenda and send it around in emails pretending it is fact.
I simply don’t believe that he found out all that from sitting in a hospital for awhile. Doctors only talk to you about your own condition and don’t write letters for you complaining about other patients. No doctor would be so stupid as to claim that illegal aliens are collecting more in assistance than doctors earn.
“Earnings of physicians and surgeons are among the highest of any occupation. According to the Medical Group Management Association’s Physician Compensation and Production Survey, median total compensation for physicians varied by their type of practice. In 2008, physicians practicing primary care had total median annual compensation of $ 186,044, and physicians practicing in medical specialties earned total median annual compensation of $ 339,738.”
You should go to Snopes and ask them about it. Illegal immigrants cannot collect Social Security, SSI, or Medicaid, and I doubt that they can collect anything for their children. They would most likely be deported if they tried.
Democrats began all the services talked about in the email, and Republicans fought against them just like they are fighting against affordable health care. Democrats started Social Security, Medicare, SSI, Medicaid, the minimum wage, overtime pay, 40 hour work week, and everything else which benefits working Americans. If the amount retired Americans receive in Social Security and SSI ever increases it will be Democrats that do it. Republicans will just continue to give handouts to the extremely wealthy. Seldom is there ever a raise in the minimum wage or is anything done to help the middle class and poor during a Republican administration.
According to The Associated Press taxes have gone down for everyone except the very wealthy since President Obama took office. Bush gave tax breaks to the wealthy and they are set to expire if right wingers don’t fight to extend them or make them permanent. It doesn’t make sense to collectively blame everyone in office and vote them out when they have different agendas. Whoever wrote this email obviously wants to vote out Democrats, because they are in the majority right now, but he doesn’t want them out for the bogus reasons he stated. Democrats generally work for the middle class who need help, and Republicans work for the rich who don’t need any help.
It is just silly to talk about revolution. We had eight years of Republicans destroying the economy and it will take at least that long for Democrats to fix the damage. The person who wrote the email sounds strangely not American, he talks about old age pensioners, refugees, and says send this to all your American friends. Who else would you be sending it to, all your British friends?
