Some terms for bone disorder

Bone disorder can be really painful. There are several diseases that cause great pain to people. Holt-Oram Syndrome is a disorder that affects bones in the upper limbs namely hands and it may also cause heart problems. People with this type of bone disorder have an abnormality that affects wrists. These abnormalities can only be detected by X-ray.

Proteus syndrome is a congenital disease that causes skin over growth and dissimilar mutation of bones often accompanied by tumors all over the body.

Bone disorder of this kind is very progressive. A new born baby will not show the symptoms at first, gradually the develop tumors and later develop abnormal mutations of the bones of the upper part of the body.

There is no steady medical cure but a team of doctors tested with using Rapamycin which gives some relief to the patient.
Affected patients can be at a risk of having testicular, unilateral ovarian cystadenomas tumors.
